2023 Teaching The Great Gatsby Conference

The Fitzgerald Museum is pleased to announce the 2023 Teaching the Great Gatsby Conference in conjunction with Huntingdon College.

The Keynote Speaker will be Mary Jo Tate, noted Fitzgerald Scholar and literature professor.

Mary Jo Tate holds a Master of Arts in English from the University of South Carolina, where she was editorial assistant to eminent Fitzgerald scholar Matthew J. Bruccoli. She worked with Bruccoli on the Cambridge University Press editions of The Great Gatsby and The Love of the Last Tycoon: A Western, the eighteen-volume facsimile series F. Scott Fitzgerald Manuscripts, and many other Fitzgerald projects. Mary Jo is the author of Critical Companion to F. Scott Fitzgerald and Flourish: Balance for Homeschool Moms.

This year will focus on The Great Gatsby as well as the 1920s at large.

Conference registration includes: all sessions, the Reception at the Fitzgerald Museum, and a swag bag of Fitzgerald related items, catered lunch and snacks for Saturday sessions, and 6 hrs of continuing education credit from Huntingdon College.
